Watch Dogs: Legion Gets New Trailer and Release Date

Watch Dogs: Legion Gets New Trailer and Release Date

During Ubisoft Forward, the publisher revealed new details for Watch Dogs: Legion, in development for PlayStation 4,  Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on October 29.

The developer released a lot of gameplay footage of how players can take on missions differently, using the game’s various mechanics.

Watch Dogs: Legion is set in the near future, where London is facing a dreadful downfall as people are being oppressed by an all-seeing surveillance state, a corrupt private military corporation controls the streets, and a powerful crime syndicate is preying on the most vulnerable. Thankfully, you’ll be stepping in to help as your mission will be to build a resistance to fight back. An underground syndicate led by Marie Kelly has also found a way to exist in this new world. However, as the player, you are more for the people, and that means taking down the power.

The developer revealed more story features such as the antagonist who has established order on the streets of London. However, in their desire to make the streets safe, the corrupt have risen.

If that wasn’t enough, you can fight as hundreds of characters, including a grandma. Ubisoft Toronto, the studio developing the game, made this insane new system that’ll let players have complete freedom to play as anyone literally. Players will be able to be any Londoner they want to be, as they meet and recruit characters. Every Londoner in Legion‘s world is going to be fully simulated, with a persistent life and backstory, and players can recruit anyone from the entire population into their team.

Every character will also have unique gameplay traits, based on their profile. Choosing a Sex Pistols fan would probably give you the ability to mosh pretty hard, we reckon. Anyway, once a character joins the team, players will then choose their class, level them up, and unlock new abilities and upgrades. Players will also have the option to swiftly swap between characters if they so choose.
