Publisher Trailmark Games and developer Bamtang Games have announced that their turn-based RPG Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on October 23, 2026.
Based on the Warrior Cats novel series, Clans of the Forest lets players create their own warrior cat before joining one of four groups: ThunderClan, RiverClan, ShadowClan, or WindClan, each with their own campaign.
Character customization includes fur patterns and colors, plus options for tails, whiskers, ears, eyes, markings, and other features. You can also personalize the den, and the asynchronous online feature allows players to visit each other’s dens.
Battles use a turn-based system built around timing, enemy weaknesses, combat stances, and Clan-specific moves. Players can develop their move sets as they progress and gain access to ancestor attacks granted by StarClan.
Choices made throughout each campaign affect relationships, rivalries, quests, and the player’s reputation within the Clans. Branching storylines can also lead to different paths across subsequent playthroughs.
