Wanted: Dead Gives Off Some Serious Onechanbara and Ninja Gaiden Vibes in New Gameplay Trailer; Coming to Consoles and PC in Q4
110 Industries and Soleil released a new trailer for Wanted: Dead, coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC in Q4 2022.
The publisher released an extended trailer during IGN’s Summer of Gaming that gave viewers a closer look at the characters and combat.
“We think people are going to be pleasantly surprised by the variety of what we’re going to deliver in Wanted: Dead when it releases this year,” said Sergei Kolobashkin, founder and Creative Director at 110 Industries. “Of course, there’s all the blood and violence, but there’s also karaoke, dancing, ramen and maybe even a full 16-bit game that we got a little carried away with…”
Wanted: Dead is an action game that mixes swordplay with gun combat. The development team includes members who worked on Ninja Gaiden and it shows in the action. Players must utilize skills and abilities to take down waves of enemies, but there are also parry techniques and other mechanics that add a layer of depth to the encounters. “The reward will be aesthetically pleasing bouts of blood and violence and the sense of satisfaction that comes with becoming a flawless fighting machine.”
Wanted: Dead tells the story of Lt. Hannah Stone who has been imprisoned after losing the global war. She is given a chance to escape and puts together a team of people known as the “Zombie Squad” to get the job done. The game’s narrative reveals corruption within a company called Dauer Synthetics, and Hannah is about to take them down.
