During San Diego Comin-Con 2018, Telltale Games released 15-minutes of choice driven zombie narrative The Walking Dead: The Final Season, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam on August 14, with a Nintendo Switch version coming late 2018.
The gameplay that was shown centers around who is arguably the series’ main protagonist since the game’s first season launch in 2012, Clementine. As Clementine walks the abandoned streets in search of food with her new partner, A.J., she runs into a group of zombies who she expertly dismembers with ease. Those who have watched Clem get this far into this zombie-filled world will understand what it took to make her this ruthless, it’d be interesting to see how she handles interactions with other survivors.
As you could have guessed, not everything runs smoothly for the two after their situation becomes a little too crowded with hungry zombies. Also, as you could have guessed, the gameplay ends with a cliffhanger, it’s a good thing fans don’t have to wait too long for the game’s official release.

Author’s take: Choice driven games are always a hit or miss with me. Telltale Games are experts at the craft and have built some amazing products. I’m curious to see what they announce after The Walking Dead is over, but for right now I’m awaiting the conclusion.
