Emotional Adventure ‘Waking’ Aims to Bring Up Forgotten Memories in New Demo

TinyBuild released the demo for the Jason Oda developed adventure Waking, in development for Xbox One and PC with a planned summer release date.

Waking is an emotional adventure that has a trigger warning slapped on it where it tells players that the game asks personal questions that may trigger unpleasant memories. Players should skip this if they have mental disorders.

The demo of the game will give players an idea of the Souls-like combat and the telekinetic attack system. Players will need to explore strange new lands as they assume the role of a character who is battling with severe come. Sure, it’s possible to just give up and give into the darkness, which leads to an easy death, but fighting through it seems so much more fun.

In order to reunite with their friends and loved ones, players will need to dive deep into the subconscious which is home to some terrifying enemies. Through these scenes, the player will discover treasure memories and confront various fears and desires.

The demo is available now on Steam for a limited time.

In case you missed it, you can check out the announcement trailer that shows gameplay and the game’s strange environments.
