Third-Person Shooter ‘Waifu Impact’ Releasing For PS4, PS5 & Switch Next Week; Trailer
JanduSoft and Mitsuki Game Studio have announced that their third-person single-player shooter, Waifu Impact, will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on April 28, 2022, for $4.99/4.99€.
Throughout this title that is not related to Genshin Impact in any way, players find themselves at the illustrious Waifu Island. Six girls are here that players can grow closer with, and heightening their affinity leads to unlockables from the Gallery menu. Stars must be found throughout the island, which are stated to unlock the girls themselves. We don’t really know whether they are being held captive by the objects or such.
It is worth reiterating that this is a single-player experience with no multiplayer functionality mentioned. Further, there are no screenshots, though a launch trailer is viewable below via the official JanduSoft Youtube channel. It briefly showcases the setting and the gameplay premise:
Hopefully, unaware Switch owners don’t see this name and believe it’s Genshin Impact. Still, it wouldn’t surprise me if that mistake is what the team is hoping for to gain more traction.
Speaking of Genshin Impact, version update 2.6 was recently released, providing a vast degree of new content. For instance, a new character, new area, and new combat challenges are only some of what players can enjoy.
