Vtubers Will Be Granting Their Unique Skill Sets in Neptunia Virtual Stars

Idea Factory has revealed new information for the upcoming music-based hack ‘n’ slash game Neptunia Virtual Stars. Players will be defeating V-Hunters and retrieving V-Cubes, which will save Vtubers, taken hostage when the planet Emote invaded.

With the Guest Connect ability, Vtubers will lend their unique skill sets to aid in combative endeavors. Vtuber cards can be collected, which all contain their own special attributes.

As players defeat enemies, the Emotional Overdrive meter allows players to view each character’s unique, special moves. Players can also attack with duet skills once the Emote Gauge maxes out to devastate enemies. The Special Roulette mechanic may also randomly occur, granting players the opportunity to gain loot.

During MV battles, players will battle bosses with tracks sung by this title’s Virtual Idol heroines. Lastly, fulfilling certain conditions during MV Battles will enable Finish Drive, a massive chain attack that will utterly overwhelm foes with incredible might.

Neptunia Virtual Stars’ limited-edition will be available for $109.99 and will also be available for pre-order next week. It also qualifies for free US domestic shipping. Canadian fans can order the limited-edition through Video Games Plus for CAD 149.99 and receive free shipping.

Neptunia Virtual Stars will launch on PlayStation 4 on March 2 in North America and March 5 in Europe, and PC-via Steam on March 29.
