Daughter-Raising Sim ‘Volcano Princess’ is Coming to Switch; New DLC Available on Steam Now
Gamera Games announced that the Egg Hatcher Studio-developed daughter-raising sim Volcano Princess is coming to Nintendo Switch soon. The publisher hasn’t provided the release date, but they did reveal the port in a trailer.
Initially released on Steam earlier this year, Volcano Princess has gained over 600,000 downloads, with an overwhelmingly positive review score from users. To celebrate, the developer released the free Official Picture Package DLC has been released for free on Steam. This DLC includes 100 total game CGs, 20 old-version screenshots, and 12 printable NPC student ID card images.
During gameplay, players are tasked with raising a daughter in a dangerous world. After the death of their spouse, players will need to raise their daughter and teach them right from wrong. However, every choice affects the story, which features over 50 different endings.
Throughout the game, players can interact with various characters to learn more about the state of the region and take on various tasks. As players spend time with their daughter, they’ll need to understand her likes and dislikes. This includes spending time developing hobbies and taking on different jobs and activities. As the princess grows, players will need to adapt to their various interests.
When the daughter is old enough, she’ll pledge allegiance to one of the three lords of the land. If she impresses them enough, she’ll be able to compete in the Grand Volcano Festival to show off her skills. More importantly, daughters can become evil, too, so there’s that.
