Void Diver: Escape from the Abyss has reached 90,000 wishlists on Steam, with publisher LoadComplete and developer Studio Nemo marking the milestone by introducing a new playable character, Raven. She is now available in the game’s free demo, which continues to receive regular updates ahead of its full release.
The title combines extraction-style gameplay with RPG progression systems, set in a city consumed by a massive Abyss that appeared a decade prior. Players manage a shop called the Balusha, sending teams of divers into the depths to retrieve artifacts and complete contracts. Runs can be tackled solo or in online co-op with up to three players, with a focus on resource management and risk. Limited flashlight power and rising stress levels add pressure, and failing to extract in time can mean losing everything collected during a run.
Raven joins the roster as a former elite operative who was betrayed during a mission. The relic she was sent to recover now functions as an artificial heart, keeping her alive while slowly corrupting her body. In gameplay, she uses a revolver for precise shots and a hidden Gatling gun built into her prosthetic arm for crowd control. Her kit also includes a dodge-based buckshot attack and a cigarette mechanic that boosts stats at the cost of increasing stress. Her Ultimate ability, Zero Hour, briefly alters time, allowing her to avoid damage while dealing rapid attacks.
Her release lines up with a broader roadmap for 2026. A major update is planned for June during Steam Next Fest, bringing new equipment, traits, bosses, and balance changes. The update will also expand the shop management system, letting players customize the BALUSHA, hire staff, and interact with high-value clients.
Further updates later in the year are expected to add more playable divers, additional chapters, and new environments. The current demo, which includes multiplayer support, is available now on PC via Steam.
