Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars Shares Concept Character Artwork; Bruno, Ridis, The Dragon, & Vince
Publisher and developer Square Enix has shared concept character renders for Bruno, Ridis, The Dragon, and Vince of Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars. These pieces of artwork were drawn by Kimihiko Fujisaka and emit a somewhat different tone than their finalized versions. Further, seeing this art reminds me of how incredible this game’s aesthetic is.

Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars is a new deck-building RPG where players will use cards in a way that unravels a narrative. The game is headed by creative director Yoko Taro, who fans will know from the Drakengard and NieR series.
Further, other creative minds from the NieR team joined development, including Yosuke Saito, Keiichi Okabe, and Kimihiko Fujisaka, making for a wild, eccentric group.
If you missed it, check out our review of the title’s PlayStation 4 release. I think this game is a much appreciated fresh step from Yoko Taro’s work with the expectedness of NieR and the like. Hopefully, it succeeds and leads to further creative avenues.
Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars is now available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
