Square Enix has shared commemorative launch artwork for the recently PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch launched Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden on the game’s dedicated Japan Twitter account, depicting the title’s protagonist and the main heroine, Laty. The game’s Steam version will be releasing in Japan tomorrow. The tweet also states that more artwork will be shared in the coming days, showcasing the other main characters.

This game takes place across several islands that maidens have protected for generations. The protagonist roams the seas with Laty, a girl who failed to become a maiden. However, they, of course, end up facing some sort of disastrous conflict, leading to players having to “circumvent fate” itself. There is a familiar face in the revealed cast of characters, making me wonder about this title’s connective tissue to the initial entry. This is a Yoko Taro endeavor, so there’s bound to be a slew of connections.
Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden is releasing for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on February 17, 2022.
