Voice of Belldona is set to launch on PC via Steam on May 20, as announced by developer Storycrop and publisher Okasan’s Recipe. The full release follows earlier iterations with expanded content, updated systems, and additional progression features.
The game blends roguelike structure with deckbuilding mechanics, placing a strong focus on risk-driven decisions during runs. Players build their decks through combat encounters and events, shaping strategies on the fly while adapting to changing conditions.
Voice of Belldona is set in a war-torn setting shaped by a mysterious being known as Cheryl, a white-haired entity created to stabilize a collapsing world. Instead, she remakes it, introducing new races and granting a power called “The Source” to its inhabitants. The story follows her after an unexpected awakening, with narrative events unfolding across each run.
The full release includes over 120 cards and more than 50 blessings that influence builds and playstyles. Runs can be customized through permanent upgrades and one-time effects, alongside a “Wish” system that introduces high-risk mechanics capable of dramatically changing outcomes. Players can also recruit allies with defined combat roles, adding positioning and team composition into the strategy layer.
In addition to its core loop, the game features multiple areas, a range of enemy types, and over 40 story-driven events. Challenge modes are also included, offering modifiers like fixed decks and ambush encounters for players looking for more demanding runs.
