Visual Novel ‘Rewrite+’ Now Delayed Until Q4 2021; Better Late Than Never

Sekai Project released an update that the VisualArts Key developed visual novel Rewrite+ has been delayed from its January release window to a new window of Q4 2021. However, this time, the developer has also shared the Steam page for the game that is currently undergoing QA.

The publisher writes:

While this is a full year longer than we anticipated, we really appreciate everyone’s patience with everything that has happened to this project. Currently, QA is in full swing with all hands on deck to focus on making this a quality release that everyone can appreciate.

As mentioned in our previous update, once QA concludes on Rewrite+, we will be throwing our focus entirely on Harvest Festa. More information will be forthcoming on that once Rewrite+ is ready for release.

Rewrite+ was successfully crowdfunded last year to bring the title west. The campaign was created to bring Rewrite+ and Rewrite Harvest Festa! to western fans and pay the high cost of voice audio licensing fees.

Rewrite+ and Rewrite Harvest Festa! is set in Kazamatsuri, where Tennoji Kotarou spends his day with his close group of friends. Once a year, an event shakes the foundations of this small town. Known as the harvest festival, Kotarous collects information about creatures and the occult. Strange things happen all around him, and Kotarou does what he can to find the “truth” that no one else has discovered.
