Visual Novel ‘Maitetsu: Pure Station’ Launches on Switch and PS4 in the West
Circle Entertainment announced that the Lose-developed visual novel Maitetsu: Pure Station, is available on via the Nintendo Switch eShop and PlayStation Network in the west for $34.99.
Maitetsu: Pure Station is a port of 2017’s PC release Maitetsu, which was published by Sekai Project. The game follows protagonist Migita Sotetsu who has just received word that an industrial factory is going to be built along a landmark river in his hometown of Ohitoyo. In an attempt to stop it, Sotetsu returns home to try and change the minds of those in charge of the factory being built. However, half of the town’s citizens support the building while the other half fear the potential pollution it will bring to their river.
Another issue to keep in mind is that Ohitoyo is in a budgeting crisis and is in desperate need of financial stability. Sotetsu takes it upon himself to figure out how to solve this crisis and bring the town to financial independence. It’s around this time that Sotetsu meets an android-like being known as a “Raillord” named Hachiroku. The two characters forge a bond together in hopes of restoring Ohitoyo to its former glory.
