Visual Novel ‘Island’ Gets New Trailer Confirming April Release on Switch

Prototype released a new trailer for the Frontwing-developed visual novel Island, coming to Nintendo Switch on April 8, 2021, supporting English text.

The Switch release will be a direct port of the PC version of the game. There’s a physical release available for pre-order from Japan with English text options. The western release will be digital-only.

Island tells the story of Sanzenkai Setsuna, an amnesiac man who wakes up on the shore of Urashima with no memory of his past. As he finds his bearing, he meets three girls on the island, Rinne, Karen, and Sara. Players will explore the relationship between the cast and figure out the secrets of this island and what trials Setsusna faces.

Island features multiple routes and endings and has a flowchart to document your actions and find different story branches. As the narrative progresses, you learn more about the three girls who belong to one of three families. The fate of the island rests on the cooperation of the entire group, but it all comes down to Setsuna.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the western release of Island on Switch. Currently, the game is available on PC-via Steam, and no, there’s no 18+ version, ecchi!
