Sekai Project announced that the Watakubi-developed romantic comedy visual novel Island Diary will launch on PC-via Steam on July 2, 2021.
The Steam release seems to support the all-ages version of the game, but the publisher will host an adult patch with a future update that completely removes the mosaics. The patch will be free for those who buy the game within the first week after launch. Whatever version you play, this hot summer is making all of us want an island vacation, so why not dive into whatever romance plot this visual novel offers.
Island Diary takes place on an island that is home to Momo, a girl with bear ears. Evidently, although she is lively, she still experiences loneliness as her only friends are Kuro, a girl with cat ears, and Moka, a girl with rabbit ears. Their friendship seems to be at odds after discovering a diary, but a man washes ashore one day. The amnesiac man named Ryou doesn’t know where he is or where he came from, but with the help of these girls, I’m sure he’ll be alright.
Island Diary is a romance visual novel with adult themes. However, there seems to be an adult and all-ages version in development.
