Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown Reveals Yakuza Costume Pack Available Next Week

Sega revealed new DLC for their arcade fighter, Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown, which adds Yakuza costumes to the game.

The Yakuza Series Collaboration Pack is available on December 8, 2021, and allows players to customize the characters will over 650 customization items and unique costumes from both the Yakuza and Virtua Fighter series. Further, players will unlock music from the Yakuza series to listen to during fights. In addition, this new DLC includes newly arranged music from Virtua Fighter 3 and additional stamps to hype up fights in Spectator mode.

Virtua Fighter 5 is part of their long-running fighter series that hasn’t received too much love in recent years. Being an arcade title, players of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life could play it on modern consoles, but the series has been exclusive to PS3 and Xbox 360.

Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown is an updated version of the fighter to take part in Sega’s 60th Anniversary project. This is the definitive edition of the game with updated systems and balances for a new generation of players.

The publisher released a trailer highlighting the game’s updated visuals and stage design and confirming multiple playable characters.

Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown is available now on PlayStation 4.
