Victorian Horror Title ‘Layers of Fears VR’ Coming to PlayStation VR in Late April

Polish video game publisher Bloober Team has announced that their successful psychological horror title, Layers of Fear VR, will be making its way to PlayStation VR later this month. This title’s release is part of the developer’s strategy to bring more qualitative horror games to VR platforms.

Layers of Fear VR is based on the original title from 2016 and consists of players controlling a painter trying to complete his Magnum Opus. Within this constantly morphing Victorian mansion, players will encounter a slew of fears and horrors in macabre artwork brought to an even more immersive and frightening life thanks to virtual reality. The painter, simply entwined by the sights before him, hopes to finish his Magnum Opus with these fearful sights fueling his vision.

This title has been redesigned with virtual reality functionality in mind to grant players a never before possible level of interactivity. Boasting a rich and dark narrative, players will find themselves enjoying a unique horror-themed journey full of surprises one after another.

Layers of Fear VR will be releasing for PlayStation VR on April 29, 2021, for $19.99.

The title is also currently available to play on other VR platforms; them being Oculus QuestOculus Rift / Oculus Rift S, and HTC Vive.
