Ninetail has announced a one-week delay for VenusBlood Ragnarok International, moving the release to December 26 for JAST and DLsite. The studio said the decision came after “problems with scheduling and progress stalling on certain aspects of development,” and noted that the extra time is meant to resolve issues in the full release build.
The Steam version won’t launch on the new date. Ninetail explained that “due to the nature of Steam’s stringent checks of any submitted builds,” the platform will be delayed beyond December 26. Backers who selected a Steam key can switch to a JAST key at no cost by contacting the team through Kickstarter DM or Backerkit support. The team also asked anyone who purchased only the physical game to reach out this month so they can handle those cases individually.
Alongside the digital release delay, physical reward shipments have also slipped. Ninetail said production for several items fell behind schedule, and that “the remaining reward items will be completed within December,” with shipping prep starting afterward. Final shipments are now expected to go out near the end of January 2026, though some regions might not receive packages until early February.
VenusBlood Ragnarok International is a strategy RPG visual novel and a direct sequel to VenusBlood Frontier, continuing the long-running series’ mix of tactical combat and branching narrative set in a Norse-inspired setting. The story picks up 500 years after Overlord Loki’s rise, following Vali as he rallies an army around his push for Divine-Demon Unification. The cast includes returning factions of gods, demons, and political leaders, with choices guiding major alliances and confrontations. Battles use grid-based combat with a focus on unit abilities, resource management, and team synergy, and the game features paths aligned with Law or Chaos.
