RPG Visual Novel ‘VenusBlood Frontier International’ Delayed on Steam After Being Rejected

Developer Ninetail has announced that the Steam release of VenusBlood Frontier International, might not be launching on December 20 as planned due to the game being rejected.

In a statement from the developer, the team has been optimistic about their Steam release but has seen one rejection already. Now, the team is working on an updated version of the game to release on Steam, but they recognize that this will delay their planned release date.

Western fans who pre-ordered through JAST USA will still receive their game on release day, but those looking to play the game via Steam will have to wait. If you’re a backer who ordered the Steam version through the Kickstarter, the developer is allowing you to retain your Steam choice or choose to swap it for a JAST USA key.

During gameplay, players will create their divisions of up to 6 units as they rush into battle against the enemy. There is an additional layer of management as players will need to secure resources and build structures on the captured territory. These could be facilities that produce gold, food, magic, resources, or training grounds for your soldiers.

During battles, players can invade the city of Yggdrasil and take over the nations. It is up to the player what happens next as they are allowed to befriend the captured goddesses or corrupt them. Throughout the game, many choices must be made and with them comes multiple endings as you lead the goddess to a new “Frontier.”

Currently, there is a free demo available on JAST USA.
