Visual Novel ‘Vengeful Heart’ Coming to Consoles at the End of the Month
Top Hat Studios announced they will publish the Salmon Snake-developed Vengeful Heart on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X at the end of March 2022. An exact release date was not provided.
Vengeful Heart was initially released on Steam in 2020 but is now coming to consoles. During the game, players assume the role of Josephine Lace, an engineer living in a world where water has become scarce and is treated like liquid gold. Josephine has a dream to climb the corporate ladder to improve her living conditions, but a twist of fate finds her in a bad situation and she finds herself homeless.
Following these events, her goals shift to take down the system that ruined her and she plans a quest for revenge. She starts looking for others who suffered the same fate who can help her crazy plan of redemption.
The game will launch for $9.99 and will be a digital release on all platforms.
Vengeful Heart features branching story paths based on the choices that players make during interactions. The game’s visuals are inspired by anime series/movies from the late 80s such as Bubblegum Crisis and Akira — any resemblance to real life is purely coincidental.
