Fantasy RPG ‘Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story 2’ to Release the Same Day as Final Fantasy XVI…Thoughts and Prayers
PQube announced they will publish the Agate-developed sim-RPG Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story 2 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on June 22, 2023.
The game has been in Steam Early Access since 2022 and has received several updates and refinements based on player feedback. However, I would say releasing on the same day as Final Fantasy XVI is commendable.
Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story 2 is a sequel to 2018’s Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story and puts players in the role of a new principal at a new academy. A fresh start for players to raise brave students and ensure they have what it takes to become heroes.
This entry features a turn-based battle system where players can send out parties of students to fight against monsters. The battles come with a few layers of strategy as you can queue actions and moves for greater effect. Players will also need to determine the weakness of enemies and exploit it for damage.
Players can build up their school to their liking by adding new structures aimed at enhancing the students. The academy is graded on its facilities and offerings, bringing added rewards and higher-ranking students to the grounds.
