[UPDATE] Valkyrie Elysium Soundtrack Available for Pre-Order, October 2022 Shipment; Includes Character Themes Not In Game

Square Enix has announced that pre-orders for the soundtrack of their upcoming action JRPG, Valkyrie Elysium, are now available via their Japanese digital storefront. The exact number of tracks has not yet been specified, but character themes not present in the actual game are stated to be included.

Fans can purchase it for ¥4,730 ahead of its October 5, 2022 shipment. Like the Collector’s Edition, there is currently no news on whether this item will release in the West.

UPDATE 8/1/2022: The soundtrack is now available to pre-order via Square Enix North America for $47.99, with an expected October 2022 shipment window. The store page currently erroneously lists the tracks for Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent.

The game’s soundtrack is composed by Motoi Sakuraba, and the character designs are by Yuya Nagai of CyDesignation, Inc. Intracicaes regarding the narrative have not been revealed yet. Still, the presentation boasts a unique art style with fast-paced combat that we’re eager to try out. A magic system of sorts also seems to be in play as well.

Valkyrie Elysium is releasing for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on September 29, 2022. The PC version via Steam will launch on November 11, 2022. Valkyrie Profile Lenneth, an updated version of the first title, is also releasing for PlayStation 4 and 5 on that same date.
