Valkyria Chronicles Art Exhibition Starting Next Week; Plenty of Eye-Catching Illustrations

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Valkyria Chronicles series, an art exhibition will be opening in Akihabara’s Phrase Gallery from July 31, 2022, until September 4, 2022. There will be approximately 50 illustrations and scenarios from Valkyria Chronicles Duel (a Japan-only browser-based and mobile-based card game that ended service in 2015). Special merchandise will be up for sale at the venue, too. Further, character designer Raita Honjou will also be present.

Famitsu’s dedicated coverage extensively details the pricing for each product.

Images of the various illustrations and work set to be on display and for sale at the exhibition are viewable via our gallery below:

Valkyria Chronicles is set during the Second Europan War, which is actually the same conflict featured in Valkyria Chronicles 4. The story revolves around Lieutenant Welkin Gunther, a strategic tank commander in charge of leading the eccentric Squad 7, who fights to repel the invasion of the East Europan Imperial Alliance.

The game’s combat system (BLiTZ Combat) adds an innovative twist to the turn-based strategy formula by allowing players to take direct control of individual units and move them around on the map in the third person.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 takes place in the Valkyria Chronicles universe over a story told through the eyes of Commander Claude Wallace, Riley Miller, Darcsen Raz, Kai Schulen, and others. These characters must work together to get through this war at all costs. Valkyria Chronicles 4 features strategic RPG gameplay where players move their units through a field and position them in areas to take shots at the enemies.

The first and fourth titles are globally available on PlayStation 4 and PC.
