Action Brawler ‘Utawarerumono: ZAN’ Gets Western Release Date and Character Trailer
NIS America announced that the Aquaplus developed action RPG Utawarerumono: ZAN will launch on PlayStation 4 on September 10 in North America.
The publisher also released a new trailer for the brawler that introduces the characters as well as shows some gameplay. Typically these characters are found in long form visual novels with tactical RPG systems, but this title switches things up by bringing the series to a Musou-like world with plenty of enemies to mow-down.
Additionally, the game received a few new screenshots showing the combat systems along with showing off the playable characters in action.
Utawarerumono: ZAN tells the story of Haku, a man who has lost his memories, as a conflict consumes him. Players will take control of 12 heroes over the course of the game and fight against the approaching threat using their unique skills and abilities to engage them. The game will feature Japanese audio with English subtitles as well as online multiplayer for up to 4 players to team up and fight off enemies. Additionally, the game contains animated cutscenes as the story unfolds along with the usual visual novel style interactions.
