Developer Aquaplus has announced that the upcoming Utawarerumono prequel title, Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten, has been delayed from September 8, 2022, to October 20, 2022.
The following message was provided:
“In order to further improve the quality of the game and to provide fans with a more enjoyable experience, we have decided to postpone the release date of Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten from September 8, 2022 to October 20, 2022. We apologize for the inconvenience, and appreciate your understanding and continued patronage.”
Publisher Shiravune has shared an updated gameplay trailer identical to the announcement one, save for the altered release date:
Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten is releasing for PC via Steam on October 20, 2022. While the game will have PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 editions in Japan, only the PC version has been announced for western release. NIS America localized the first game’s remake on PlayStation 4, but it is unknown whether they will do the same for this upcoming new entry.
The latest localized release for this series is Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen. This title is a remake of the original Utawarerumono, which was never officially released in the west. The title tells the story of events leading up to Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth; both titles were initially published and localized by Atlus in the west. All three games were also released on PC by Shiravune.
Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen contains extra content, remastered visuals, and a necessary piece in the puzzle for Utawarerumono fans to understand the entire story. Every scene has been enhanced, with each illustration presented in HD. Additionally, battles are displayed on complete 3D fields, and a new Special Extended Mode has been added.
