Aquaplus has announced that the anime adaption for Utawarerumono Mask of Truth, the third entry in the series, will begin on July 2, 2022, with 2 episodes. The full series will comprise 28 episodes, which are planned to be released every Saturday evening in Japan. Moreover, the opening theme was revealed in a newly published teaser trailer, “Hitonanda,” sung by Suara. The official Utawareruomo website houses more intricate information regarding casting.
The previous season adapted Utawarerumono Mask of Deception, the second entry in the franchise, with Mask of Truth taking place right after.

The latest localized release for this series is Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen. This title is a remake of the original Utawarerumono, which was never officially released in the west. The title tells the story of events leading up to Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth; both titles were originally published and localized by Atlus in the west. All three games were also released on PC by Shiravune.
Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen contains extra content, remastered visuals, and a necessary piece in the puzzle for Utawarerumono fans to understand the entire story. Every scene has received an enhancement, with each illustration being presented in HD. Additionally, battles are displayed on complete 3D fields, and a new Special Extended Mode has been added.
