During Coachella 2022, a widely beloved music and arts festival, singer Utada Hikaru appeared and sang 4 songs! Two of the songs were “Simple and Clean” and “Face My Fears!” The former is the theme song of the first Kingdom Hearts entry, while the latter is the opening theme for Kingdom Hearts III. Seeing those tracks performed in such an extravagant context is genuinely moving. Kingdom Hearts fans have been eating superbly this past week.
Utada Hikaru also performed “First Love” and “Automatic!”
You can view the official live stream where these performances occurred below. Unfortunately, with this being a live stream, we can’t provide a timestamp. However, if a VOD is saved, we’ll update the link with it.
In Kingdom Hearts IV, Sora has found himself in Quadratum with Strelitzia, a prominent character from Kingdom Hearts Union χ. This setting is an afterworld for the two characters following their tragic fates. Additionally, this new saga has been titled the Lost Master Arc. Some combat footage is showcased, with Sora performing Keyblade transformations against a giant entity that seems to be a Heartless? We don’t know for sure.
“The heart resides within the soul, which in turn is guided by fate to its rightful place” is a crucial phrase used at the start of this trailer for the upcoming mainline game.
