What fans can likely expect from Persona 5 R is an updated version of the already lengthy life-sim RPG. This isn’t outside of the wheelhouse of the developer who has re-released many of their games with updated versions in the past, such as, Persona 3 FES, Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden. Persona 5 R will most likely have new quests, dungeons, and additional characters to improve upon the existing story. The initial reveal trailer, however, showed off nothing aside from a PS4 logo so people will be anticipating something crazy, especially since the last game reveal Atlus did in a commercial was Persona Q2. We had heard nothing about that game since its announcement and then the trailer revealed that the game was a couple of months away from launch.
Don’t expect a repeat though, just in case.
Persona 5 is available now on PS4. An ultimate edition with all of its additional DLC is also available via PSN and is slightly cheaper than the original. It may be worth waiting to find out exactly what R is though, I mean it’s only a day away.
