iam8bit and Playstack have opened pre-orders for the UNBEATABLE Breakout Edition, bringing a physical version of the anime-inspired rhythm adventure to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 ahead of its worldwide retail launch on October 30, 2026. The release comes shortly after Sony announced that it will end physical media production for new first-party PlayStation games beginning in January 2028. While previously released titles will remain available, the decision marks the beginning of the end for new PlayStation disc releases, making upcoming collector-focused editions like UNBEATABLE Breakout Edition part of a shrinking lineup of physical releases.
Priced at $39.99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and $49.99 on Nintendo Switch 2, the Breakout Edition expands on the base game with four exclusive songs, additional tracks from the game’s soundtrack, more than 20 bonus Arcade Mode songs, and an exclusive menu palette. Every physical copy also includes a 12-inch double-sided foldout poster featuring artwork by D-CELL artist Andrew Tsai. The iam8bit Exclusive Edition adds a collage-style o-sleeve created by the D-CELL art team.
Alongside the game, iam8bit is releasing a full line of UNBEATABLE collectibles. Fans can pre-order the UNBEATABLE: ALBUM. 3xLP vinyl soundtrack for $59.99, a two-disc CD soundtrack for $24.99, an iam8bit-exclusive T-shirt for $29.99, and a poster for $9.99. Each item is available separately or as part of a Breakout Edition bundle that includes the iam8bit Exclusive Edition of the game with either the vinyl or CD soundtrack. Pre-orders for the collection are open through August 10, with shipments scheduled for Q4 2026.
Developed by D-CELL GAMES, UNBEATABLE is a rhythm adventure centered on Beat, a rebellious musician living in a society where music has been outlawed. Players progress through a story-driven campaign while taking part in rhythm battles set to the game’s original punk soundtrack.
