As usual for Nintendo Direct, a few titles only show up in the Japanese version of the presentation. This time around, we got Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher, a new title in the monster raising sim series from developer Koei Tecmo. With the concept of creating some the big creatures that show up in the Ultraman shows, the new game will be published by Bandai Namco and it’s planned for a 2022 release on Nintendo Switch.
Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher allows players to raise the big creatures known as kaiju that come in a variety of types. Some are more mechanical, there are dinosaurs and strange humanoid ones as well. Feed them, train them and do the best job to make your Ultra Kaiju the best one there ever was so you can battle against other Ultra Kaiju and win the tournaments. It’s even possible to fuse them to create extra powerful ones.
Despite no word on a western release so far, Bandai Southeast Asia shared an English trailer for the game, confirming an Asia English release.
We’ll keep you updated if a western release is confirmed by Bandai Namco later on or any other updates are given on this project such as other consoles as well.
