Visual Novel ‘Twofold’ Gets October Release Date
Five days after revealing Twofold would be released in October, Studio Élan has revealed its release date. The visual novel developed by Salty Salty Studios and Studio Coattails will be available on PC (Steam) on October 27, 2023. A demo is already available for those interested to give the game a try beforehand.
Twofold tells the story of Olive Penn, a student on the brink of being thrown out of college. Though they’ve tried to not rely on others over the years, this serious predicament will have Olive receiving help from two club leaders. However, it seems like bad blood builds up between those two, inciting a significant conflict.
On one side, you have Caprice Shiften, who created her own art club because she couldn’t approve of the one that already existed. She’s bright and optimistic and strives to enjoy things beyond whatever rules and regulations there are.
On the other, Millie Clarke commands the prestigious writing club, having a lot of pride in her position. She can be quite stubborn at times and doesn’t have quite as many friends, but she cares a lot for them.
Twofold‘s themes revolve around love, family and connecting people. There are two distinct paths in the game, and the choices you make will allow you to gain insight on the conflict, with Olive having a privileged position as a newcomer to this group of friends. The story takes place about one year after the free yuri visual novel First Snow.
