Twin Mirror Gets New Teaser Trailer and Gameplay Details; PC Release to Be Self Published by Dontnod

Dontnod released a new teaser trailer for there psychological thriller Twin Mirror, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via the Epic Games Store in 2020.

The developer announced that this will be the first title the studio is self-publishing on PC, the console release will be published by Bandai Namco. To assist with the game’s development, Epic Games has also stuck a deal with the team to release the game on Epic Games Store for 1-year exclusivity on the launcher. This allowed Dontnod to continue the development of the game adventure game and fully realize the vision for the game. The team has also joined up with Shibuya Production to further meet the expectation of the community for the narrative adventure. Furthermore, the game will not be an episodic title. Instead, this will be a single full experience at launch.

Twin Mirror follows Sam Higgs, an investigative journalist who has to return to his hometown to say farewell to a friend. Set in Basswood, West Virginia, Sam doesn’t really want to be surrounded by these old memories, which begin to haunt him. While trying to confront his past, Sam attempts to reconnect with his loved ones and use his unique abilities to uncover the truth about what exactly is happening around town.

During investigation scenes, Sam can explore local environments and speak with the residents. The choices that Sam makes during these moments will allow him to gather the correct information to lead him to the truth. However, there are no right or wrong answers, yet, players will need to accept the consequences of their choices.
