Ocean Drive Studio has announced a new turn-based strategy RPG set in the Lost Eidolons universe, Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch. This standalone spinoff entry builds upon the previous entry’s combat system alongside a ” faster pace, greater depth,” and a “session-based roguelite structure.”
The story is set in the same world as Lost Eidolons, occurring shortly after the first game’s events, with addictive gameplay boasting hours of replayability. The experience this time around has been streamlined considerably, with speed being a primary focus. It’s a tighter, more focused game that “hits the ground running.” Players can still expect choice in their combat approaches, but “each character has a single class, with fixed weapons and armor, and a very specific playstyle.”
Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch is planned to launch for PC via Steam Early Access in the first half of 2024, with an eventual simultaneous release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
