Sunsoft’s ‘Trip World DX’ Resurrected for PS4, PS5, and Switch; Physical Release Confirmed With Extra Features Added
Sunsoft has partnered with Limited Run Games to utilize the new Carbon Engine for the port of their Game Boy adventure, Trip World. This title is a rare release from the developer that didn’t receive a North American release.
The re-release is titled Trip World DX and features a handful of improvements, but the publishers have confirmed that this is a faithful port of the original, so players fully enjoy this classic adventure. However, with original director Yuichi Ueda, the Carbon Engine team sought to realize a long-term dream for the director by developing a brand new colorized version. This version is playable alongside the original Game Boy version.
