Action-Adventure ‘Trigger Witch’ Gets Release Window for Consoles in New Trailer
EastAsiaSoft announced they will publish the Rainbite-developed action-adventure Trigger Witch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch for a Summer 2021 release.
Trigger Witch is a 2D twin-stick action game set in a world where magic has become outdated and replaced with firearms. Players assume the role of Colette, a graduate of the Witchcraft and Triggery academy know as Stock. An unknown man has just invaded her realm and Colette finds herself in the role of heroine to restore peace.
The publisher has confirmed that physical versions of the game will release through Playasia. The contents of the physical release and the platforms will be revealed at a later date.
During gameplay, players can explore a retro-inspired world where they will need to shoot down waves of enemies. Players can use points earned in stages to upgrade firearms and game new abilities. The game does have a story that will unfold after levels, but players will also need to solve environmental puzzles to progress.
Trigger Witch is a multiplayer game with options to play solo or with a friend through drop-in local co-op.
