Triangle Strategy Receives New Trailer Discussing Story Elements (It’s Just the TGS Trailer in English)

Square Enix has shared a trailer for the upcoming tactical-based RPG, Triangle Strategy, discussing various facets of the game’s story, from its characters to story-defining choices. This title certainly seems ambitious and appealing, with an extensive cast of characters set within an intricately woven world. Its art style is also stellar, emitting Octopath Traveler vibes.

This trailer was priorly shown during the Square Enix Tokyo Game Show 2021 event, except its text and narrated voice are in English this time.

The game takes place on the continent of Norzelia, comprised of Glenbrook, Aesfrost, and Hyzante. The regions fought over salt and iron, which began the Saltiron War. Now years later, the threats of war reemerge as groups of knights from each region join together to fight. During gameplay, players will find themselves navigating a classic grid-based map.

The turn-based battle system will also feature environmental systems where players can directly affect the world around them. Characters can link attacks together to utilize the elements and cause greater damage or find ways to navigate the battlefield quicker.
