Triangle Strategy Gets English Overview Trailer With the Ultimate Goal of Making the Name “Triangle Strategy” Marketable

Square Enix released a new English overview trailer for the Studio Artdink-developed tactical RPG, Triangle Strategy coming to Nintendo Switch on March 4, 2022.

The video reveals that the game can be pre-ordered now on the Nintendo eShop, but it also gives players a look at some of the gameplay. Ultimately, it’s still a weird name, and hearing the narrator say the name casually doesn’t make it any better. I just can’t imagine a parent or teen going into a game store, seeing the name “Triangle Strategy,” and thinking that it’s as cool as a game as it is. Whatever though.

Triangle Strategy takes place on the continent of Norzelia comprised of Glenbrook, Aesfrost, and Hyzante. The regions fight over salt and iron, which began the Saltiron War, now years later, the threats of war reemerge as groups of knights from each region join together to fight. During gameplay, players will find themselves navigating a classic grid-based map.

The turn-based battle system will also feature environmental systems where players can directly affect the world around them. Characters can link attacks together to utilize the elements and cause greater damage or find ways to navigate the battlefield quicker.
