Square Enix Shares Official Piano Cover of “Meridian Child” from Trials of Mana

Square Enix has uploaded a new official cover on their music YouTube channel. Yabuki Taku arranged and performed “Meridian Child” from Trials of Mana on piano, initially composed by Hiroki Kikuta. Additionally, Mai Kondo recorded and mixed the performance.

“Meridian Child” is the track used on the game’s title screen and general opening, making it akin to being the overall theme song of sorts for the game. This piano cover gives it a somewhat somber ambiance but an equally thrilling tension.

Trials of Mana tells the story of six heroes whose fates will have them fighting towards the same goal of protecting the world when its Mana has been weakened. Each character has a different fighting style and path on the adventure. Players can switch through the characters in real-time to utilize their diverse abilities and skills in the field.

The next Mana release will be Visions of Mana. Visions of Mana will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Windows and Steam in the Summer of 2024.
