Action Adventure ‘Trek to Yomi’ Shows New Gameplay in Trailer and Confirms Spring 2022 Release

Developer Digital released a new trailer for the Flying Wild Hog-developed samurai action game Trek to Yomi, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC-via Steam in Spring 2022. Further, the game will launch as an Xbox Game Pass title.

The trailer highlights additional gameplay, including the game’s combat systems. Players will need to use the enemy’s strength against them by employing deft maneuvers to throw them off balance and land a killing blow. Additionally, players will face off against various enemies across various environments. Enemy classes include spearmen, archers, riflemen, and creatures from folk tales.

Trek to Yomi has players assume the role of Hiroki, a young swordsman who has sworn to protect his town after a promise he made to his dying Master. Hiroki is bound to his duty and must fight many foes to keep his promise. The narrative is one of revenge, but the style of the presentation has us interested in this adventure. The combat is supposed to mirror a cinematic experience, and we feel like it’s coming pretty close to providing that based on what we’ve seen so far.

We’ll keep you updated on the full release of Trek to Yomi.
