The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III Announced for Switch in New Trailer
NIS America announced that the Falcom-developed RPG The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III will be coming to Nintendo Switch in 2020.
This is the first entry in the series to receive a Nintendo Switch release, with NISA being the new publisher, it’s assumed that they’ve funded the port.
Additionally, the publisher released a new trailer showing the game running on Switch hardware. The Switch version will run at a locked 720p resolution and 30 frames-per-second in both docked and undocked modes.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III continues the story of Thors Military Academy student Rean Schwarzer as he and his classmates find themselves in the middle of a war. Throughout the game, players will learn more about the characters and their personalities as well as the state of the region.
The game features turn-based combat where players can use Arts and Skills to take down enemies. Additionally, other powerful attacks are unlocked as the story goes on. This game also introduces a new “Break System”, which the player will explore throughout the game and NISA will provide further details on soon.
