The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III Gets New Trailer Showing Updated Combat System
NIS America Released a new trailer for the Falcom developed RPG The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III, coming to PlayStation 4 on September 24 in North America, September 27 in Europe, and October 4 in Australia and New Zealand.
The trailer features the game’s updated turn-based battle system that players will be able to experience during the game. Fans will notice that the speed of the battle system has increased along with some additional skills and abilities available to party members, including some new link attacks.
The combat system mechanics features action known as Brave Order which gives the entire part buffs to get the upper hand in battle along with Brave Points, which can be gained when performing Assist and consumed when using Burst or Rush attacks. Returning to the game are S-Craft attacks which utilize all of a character’s Craft Points to unleash a powerful attack.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III continues the story of Thors Military Academy student Rean Schwarzer as he and his classmates find themselves in the middle of a war. Over the course of the game, players will learn more about the characters and their personalities as well as the state of the region.
The game will feature turn-based combat where players can use Arts and Skills to take down enemies. Additionally, other powerful attacks are unlocked as the story goes on. This game also introduces a new “Break System”, which the player will explore throughout the game and NISA will provide further details on soon.
