4 Trails games will be releasing in the West across 2022 and 2023; Trails from Zero, Trails to Azure, The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails, and Trails into Reverie.
Trails into Reverie takes place after the latest localized title of the series, Trails of Cold Steel IV. Players take control of 3 simultaneously ongoing story paths, with Rean Schwarzer, Lloyd Bannings, and the mysterious C being the leaders of each path.
Hearkening back to Trails in the Sky the 3rd, players will find themselves exploring the Reverie Corridor, which contains a slew of content such as recruitable party members, minigames, and randomly generated dungeons. Additionally, the strategical Brave Order mechanic makes its return alongside the new United Front system utilizing the power of the entire team to destroy foes. Side episodes viewable from the Reverie Corridor also serve to flesh out the characterizations and relationships of the massive, varied cast.
