Level Infinite and Hotta Studio have just announced the latest information for the next Version Update that will be coming for the PC and mobile version of Tower of Fantasy. Titled Butterfly of the Abyss, this latest version update will be releasing on November 21, 2023.
In this update, players will get the chance to explore the deepest parts of Marshville, with its howling winds and bustling snow. Two new bosses and a host of challenges await, making the journey as treacherous as ever. Along the way, players will also encounter traces of past generations’ efforts to defend against the Darkness and uncover their secrets in the process.
The story also continues with Part 2 of the Frost-Covered Marshville main story segment, which will be unlocked in this Version Update. In order to thwart Nan Yin’s plans and unearth the truth behind the Hendeca County Calamity, Ji Yu resumes her investigation into the Forbidden County. She reignites the Skyburnace to dispel the gloom hovering in the sky above in search of the key clue about the Darkness buried under the snow in the Forbidden County. And it is beneath the abyss that the mystery is finally unraveled.
Deep into the Forbidden County, players will encounter a brand new boss, Nan Yin, who was once the chief of the Alabaster Guards. This boss’s ability has harnessed three separate Darkness Crystamaxes, making her more powerful and unpredictable than any Darkness entity in all of Domain 9 enemies encountered thus far. Alongside her however there is Merbelle, a half-human, half-fish like Darkness entity that resides in the icy lakes of Hendeca County, who together with her bat-like creatures: Hidewing and Rockwing, will be sure to be a challenge for players.
Developed by Hotta Studio and published by Level Infinite on PC and Perfect World Games on PlayStation, Tower of Fantasy features an immersive open world, cooperative group and solo adventures, freeform character development, unique simulacrums, and epic combat that allows players to switch weapons and gameplay styles on the fly to unlock their own personal fighting style.
Tower of Fantasy is currently available on PC, Mobile, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 as a free-to-play game.
