2D Metroidvania ‘Touhou Luna Nights’ Exits Early Access Following Upcoming Update

Playism and Vaka announced that the Team Ladybug developed 2D Metroidvania, Touhou Luna Nights, will exit Steam Early Access on February 26 following its 1.0 update.

Touhou Luna Nights is a Japanese 2D action-exploration game starring Sakuya Izayoi from the Touhou Project series. Players will use Sakuya’s power of controlling time and proficiency in hardcore knight battles to get through any trouble that stands in her way. Additionally, the Touhou Project’s “Grazing” system has been implemented to allow players to recover HP and MP by getting as close to enemies as possible.

With this new update, players will be able to enjoy Stage 4 and 5 of the game, which includes new features such as “Screw Knife” and “Shield Dagger”. Along with these new attacks, players can also use Sakuya’s “Yellow Aura” ability, which allows her to play out events in reverse.

Additionally, the update adds Touhou Project’s Remilia and Fran as boss characters as well as a Boss Rush Mode.

Currently, Touhou Luna Nights holds an Overwhelmingly Postive review standing from players onSteam.
