2 years After Launch ‘Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle’ Gets New Playable Character

NISA Ameria announced that the Cubetype developed bullet-hell fighter Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle will receive a new playable character.

Available now, players will be able to jump in a download Youmu Konpaku as the tenth playable character in the bullet-hell action game. Currently, she will be free for players for the next two weeks. After that, she will be available for $2.49.

Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle is a fan-made bullet-hell action game that takes place in the Touhou universe. The game originally launched on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation Vita in October of 2017. Meaning, this new DLC comes a full 2 years after the launch of the game.

During gameplay, players can play as ten of the characters from the Touhou series and utilize their danmaku attacks as they fill the screen with bullets and try to take out their opponent. Abilities in the game include the usage of bullet-hell patterns, melee attacks, or spell cards. The game also has a PlayStation VR feature that allows players to experience the game in virtual reality.

Currently, the game is on sale until November 22 across all platforms with an added 80% off for PS+ members.

Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle is available now on PS4, PS Vita, and Switch.
