Total War: Warhammer II Receiving Spooky DLC Campaign ‘Curse of the Vampire Coast’
Last week the official Total War twitter made a post revealing that a ‘fantastical announcement‘ was coming soon. Well, that announcement came alongside a beautiful cinematic trailer, using their in-game engine, to promote the launch of a new DLC campaign pack for Total War: Warhammer II.
The DLC for the Real-Time tactics game is titled ‘Curse of the Vampire coast’ and is set to release on November 8 bringing zombie pirates, vampires with guns and a whole host of magic and monsters not generally seen in Warhammer’s Tolkien-esque universe together for an insane swashbuckling adventure. The trailer can be viewed below.
The DLC will be playable in both ‘The Eye of the Vortex’ and ‘Mortal Empire’ campaigns and introduces four Legendary Pirate Lords along with a slew of new pirate-themed mechanics. These include shipbuilding, treasure hunting, and pirate cove creation on top of a new lore of magic and unique customization options to create a one-of-a-kind experience leading into what is touted to be a spectacular endgame battle.
To further promote the launch the DLC will be 10% off if you pre-order it on Steam and the developers have published an FAQ that details the explicit content of the DLC on their website which can be found here.
Total War: Warhammer II was released on the 28th of September 2017 and is available on Windows via Steam. Mac and Linux releases of the title are planned to launch sometime later this year.
Author’s Take: I don’t play these types of games but hell, this DLC looks pretty fantastic. Do you think these giant enemy crabs are also the ones re-enact ancient fights from feudal Japan?
