Survival Horror ‘Tormented Souls’ Finally Gets PS4, Xbox One, and Switch Release Date

PQube announced that the Dual Effect and Abstract Digital Works-developed survival horror Tormented Souls will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 25, 2022, and Nintendo Switch on April 14, 2022.

The publisher has also confirmed that a physical version will be available for PS4 and Switch for those who prefer physical media. This version of the game had been delayed to meet the expectations of gamers and perfect the port.

Tormented Souls is meant to be a love letter to classic survival horror games such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Still, the game takes a modern approach to the design by including a fixed-perspective experience that has been improved with a new control scheme and a dynamic camera. They hope that this retains what fans loved about the older titles in the genre.

During gameplay, players will investigate the disappearance of twin girls at Winderlake as Caroline Walker. However, she finds herself fighting for her life naked in a bathtub to escape this nightmare. Players will need to stay sharp to stay alive.

The game has you search and manage your items and solve environmental puzzles to progress. That’s not even taking into consideration the nightmares that await players behind doorways. Caroline has the power to manipulate the fabric of reality and turn some deadly situations into an advantage.
