Visual Novel ‘Tomoyo After It’s a Wonderful Life’ Gets Western Release Date on Switch

Visual Arts announced that the Key and Prototype-developed romance visual novel Tomoyo After It’s a Wonderful Life will launch on Nintendo Switch on September 10.

Tomoyo After It’s a Wonderful Life tells the story of Tomoya and Tomoyo who confessed their love for each other. Some time has passed since that moment and Tomoya has found employment and is now living on his own. The two lovers have been discussing how much they look forward to spending a summer with each other, but Tomoyo’s younger brother, Takafumi, ends up bringing that romantic dream to a halt, and their plans seem even further away.

Things begin to get even more complicated when a young girl named Tomo enters Tomoyo’s life. Through some sad circumstances of her own, Tomoyo is made the guardian of Tomo, and things only get worse when Takafumi’s ex-girlfriend Kanako also invites herself into the household after running away. What was supposed to be a relaxing summer, is everything but.

The Switch version of Tomoyo After It’s a Wonderful Life will include Japanese and English text support, with touch screen support added. Gameplay will have players making choices at certain points of dialogue, which changes the route of the game. After getting through a certain route, players can even play a secret game that Takafumi is developing called Dungeons & Takafumis.

Tomoyo After It’s a Wonderful Life is available now on PC-via Steam.
