Visual Novel ‘Tomorrow Will Be Dying’ Gets June Release Date And Opening Video

Team Robo has shared the opening video for their upcoming visual novel Tomorrow Will Be Dying. Along with the video, the developer announced the release date for the game: June 15, 2023. It’ll be available on PC via Steam and itch.io.

Tomorrow Will be Dying is a story-driven visual novel about a group of university students trying to understand who they are. As the protagonist reunites with some of her old childhood friends, she’ll have the chance to think things through once again thanks to the bonds she shares with those people.

Our protagonist is B, an enthomology student who’s been dealing with depression. Back in high school, people flocked to her due to her seeming like a prince despite how she was actually just a bug nerd who was too much of an introvert, which made her seem aloof. She feared being isolated and lonely, so she hid the embarrassing truth from others and tried to act the part.

However, back then, she found a group of other weirdos like her in the Occult Club and they quickly bonded. Once they were close to the end of high school, her friends A and N disappeared, leaving only B and  C as close friends in university. When A and N show up again, they’ll now see their paths cross again.

Check out the opening video for the game, which Team Robo has just shared:

Tomorrow Will Be Dying‘s opening has a style that seems close to Makoto Shinkai’s animations as they try to emphasize a sense of comfortable daily life. Curiously, it contrasts a lot with the high-filter style of previous images of the game and its legacy demo.
